Cascade 1200: into Hades with the afterburners on
National Updates
The Cascade 1200 is organized by the Seattle International Randonneurs (SIR) and starts at Monroe, a small town about 60 km to the northeast of Seattle.  For most, this is a ride of four days.  There is designated night stop each day.  Although you are not forced to use the night stop, it is the most obvious thing to do, as there are no other good options unless you are able to provide your own support.  This is an interesting way to do a 1200 as it keeps riders a bit closer together and gives the ride a greater feeling of cohesion.
